Happy Family Picnic with Helper JeJe (sister)
by Deep Potato's (Tobey) internship

A picnic experience between family members and foreign domestic helpers

This event aims to foster understanding and care between Hong Kong employers and their foreign
domestic helpers, commonly referred to as ’JeJe‘. It also encourages social interaction and empathy
among individuals in society.

Every weekend, various foreign domestic helpers, commonly known as ’JeJe‘, gather in different parts of this city. They are highly prevalent in Hong Kong households. While they wholeheartedly strive to understand the tastes and preferences of each family member and cook meals accordingly, their employer may not always have the opportunity to understand the cultural foods and their preferences.

This event is the graduation project of Deep Potato's (Tobey) internship with the Deep Food team. The concept was developed by Tobey and supported by the Deep Food team in the creative process and provision of relevant resources.

Event Introduction:

Let’s blend the authentic flavors of the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand with Hong Kong's local ingredients to create a delightful picnic experience. May the world of flavors promote    understanding, care, and interaction among family members and the broader community.
