Have you ever tried making Dumplings for storytelling? Food-based creative team Deep Food invites the Cho Yiu community to eat and play, co-creating "Cho Yiu’s Art of Dumpling," a collection of creative recipes representing this caring community. Deep Food will guide participants in imbuing dumplings with their experience in Cho Yiu and sharing their experiences and sentiments from the neighbourhood.

 

This workshop includes dumpling making and sharing the final edible products. Participants who complete the two-part workshop will receive their own designed "Art of Dumpling" - a creative recipe that encapsulates community narratives. Deep Food encourages participants to share the workshop outcomes with family or neighbours or invite friends to cook the recipes together, using flavours to share common experiences from the community. The collected stories and recipes will ultimately be transformed into a community immersive theater performance and published as the "Cho Yiu Community Recipe" at the end of the project.
